10 Online Apps for Sabahans to Get Food, Groceries and Run Errands While Stuck At Home

Parents, things are understandably hard right now! Whether you’re working from home or are a single parent, an extra set of hands are simply needed!

To make things easier for all of us staying at home due to the Movement Control Order (MCO), Parents Avenue has compiled a list of online platforms for Sabahans to use to get your essentials delivered right to your doorstep.

We’ve further categorised these services* into 1) food delivery; 2) grocery shopping and 3) running errands. With that being said, we hope everyone practises responsible shopping and use of these services!

1) Food Delivery

MoreFun Delivery

MoreFun is primarily a food delivery service for those living in Kota Kinabalu. But they also offer services to help you get your groceries and run your errands.

Zelda Delivery

Zelda Delivery is a Sabah-only food delivery service with more than 1,000 restaurants to choose from.

Have your food delivered to you and request to go contactless. Or opt to pick it up yourself from the restaurant to spend less time waiting at home.

FoodPanda is available in both Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan cities. They’ve also just introduced contactless delivery as a safety measure for both riders and customers.

2) Grocery Shopping


Borneo Kaki is an online supermarket featuring all-local products. You may purchase frozen foods, home essentials like soap and detergent, as well as snacks.

Tong Hing Supermarket

Tong Hing Supermarket at Jalan Gaya and Damai are now offering grocery delivery services daily from 7am to 4.30pm for a delivery fee of RM10.

MyMart is another online shopping app, although it only covers the wider Pekan Donggongon and Penampang area.

Swasana Hijau

For those of you missing out on fresh produce, Swasana Hijau is a local farm that’s offering to deliver fresh greens to you.

3) Running errands

MoreRun (MoreFun)

MoreRun is a runner service available under the MoreFun app. You may use it to send/ collect small items, send mail or pick up food and groceries.

If you’re looking to urgently send out a parcel, look no further than NinjaVan. More than 200 Ninja points for pick-up/ dropoff are business as usual during this time.
