HP reinvents learning for children with ‘Little Makers’ challenge.
HP today introduced the HP Little Makers challenge, an opportunity for children to reinvent immersive learning with the HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3700 Printer. Children between 5 – 12 are eligible to participate in challenges for prizes, while schools stand a chance to win a HP Idea Lab worth RM20,000.
In alignment to The Ministry of Education’s focus on technology-based learning, the HP Little Makers challenge incites creativity in an advanced learning environment for children with technology and play-based learning. “As a parent, I understand the importance of a well-rounded education. With the HP Little Makers, we want to showhow technology and creativity can go hand-in-hand with educating the future of Malaysia at home and at school”, said Fayza Amin, Managing Director of HP Malaysia.
What is HP Little Maker Challenge?
HP Malaysia’s Little Makers challenge is designed for parents, teachers and their young makers, creators and thinkers to play and learn together while sharing their creations with friends and family. Together with HP’s DeskJet printers, HP aims to help children discover their inner potential and talent.
What Are The Prizes For Schools Who Participate?
To kick off the challenges, HP partnered with 40 schools nationwide who will receive a HP DeskJet Ink Advantage and are also in the running to win a HP Idea Lab worth RM20,000. The HP Idea Lab will feature the HP Pavilion x360 and HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3700 to enhance learning experiences for the future of Malaysia.
What Are The Prizes for Kids and Families?
The challenge is also open to anyone between the age of 5-12 years old. Participating kids and their families stand a chance to win RM500 worth of HP products. Five winners are chosen every two weeks in-line with the “Challenge of the Week”.

How Does The Online Challenges Work?
Online challenges will be updated bi-weekly on www.hp.com/my/littlemakers for children, parents or teachers to complete together. Every Little Makers challenge has a step-by-step guide for a small project accompanied with educational fun facts of the relevant topic. For instance, children will be able to learn about constellations like ‘Lyra’, ‘Pegasus’, ‘Sagittarius’, the science behind shadow and the art of shadow puppetry, creating a sundial, building a map and mark the landmarks around the world and animals which are in danger of extinction.

1. Download the challenges from HP Malaysia at hp.com/my/littlemakers
2. Carry out the challenges as per the instructions and be as creative as you can!
3. Upload completed challenge on social media account(s)*
4. Use the following hashtags in entry: #HPMY #HPDeskJet #HPLittleMakers
5. Must tag @hp_asia if it is on Instagram AND/OR @HP_Malaysia if it is on Facebook
6. In order to winbi-weekly prizes, participants will need to answer open-ended question of the week
*Instagram and/or Facebook profiles must be set to “Public”and ensure that all postings are made available throughout the entire campaign duration and until the winners have been announced.
